Hello, I am a beautiful, smart and adorable Naija girl in my mid twenties who is PROUDLY SINGLE. I broke up with my bf last year (thank God) and I'm still not ready to hook up with any random guy. Simple English; I'm ready to wait for my true love. See, I laugh whenever I see all the bf/gf Val jokes implying; that day is mostly for "lovers". Seriously who says you need a partner to be alive or celebrate love? My church is planning a love feast only for married couples on that day and I was like; WHAT!? Where's it written that one must be married to be happy or celebrate Val's day?

This Nigerian man thinks having a Valentine's day is overrated... Nikky, I have decided to share my thoughts on Valentine's day Celebration with you. Don't take this the wrong way, as much as I love  how most Nigerians celebrate Valentine's Day, I sincerely do not think we should be celebrating it the way we do in this country. In fact I think Nigerians love copying everything foreign. We too like copy and paste joor! I'm fed up with the idea of people exerting all their energy just to impress a supposed loved one on a day someone else decided should be special. To make matters worse, the story about St. Valentine is vague and shrouded in mystery. In my opinion, my better half and I deserve to pick a day we consider special. We should not be bullied into accepting February 14th as Lovers’ Day.

Bam Bam hurriedly pulled on her shoes, got down from the car and rushed to the rear to confirm her fears. Her eyes widened as the reality hit her. Yes she was right. The wide dent on her bumper sent shock waves down her spine.  "My car!"  She gasped wishing her eyes were deceiving her. "Woow! I'm very sorry madam." A masculine voice said behind her. I was really sad when I heard the devastating news on Sunday. Kobe and Gianna's death felt like when the world lost MJ. Your heart just gets shattered. Yes, I know this is not a time to rationalize or motivate. I know the pain you must be feeling right now. Infact you might be among those who feel; "why is she writing about him? Is he a Nigerian?" Whatever your view is, my only wish is that  you learn from this article.

Mtcheeew! I sneezed for the third time and hugged my heavy cardigan closer. It's January again and as much as I love our weather at this time of the year, it is pertinent we learn and religiously abide by the following rules in order to avoid trips to the doctor: YOUR BODY 1. Face Masks & Inhalers - face masks are very important especially if you are living in the Northern region. It covers and protects your nose from the dust and other infections. Asthma patients should always keep their inhalers close by. 2. Moisturizers - keep your body/skin moisturized to avoid cracking and dryness. Lip and nose balms, hand and body creams, oils and lotions should be kept handy.
