Afloat Season 4 Ep.2
The more we are filled with thoughts of lust, the less we find true romantic love.
-Douglas Horton
-------------
The routine of pleasuring himself while being consumed by vivid thoughts of Tricia was no longer alien to him. However, what he was beginning to find annoying was the unwavering mood dampening calm voice in his head. The intrusive voice of Ada's priest.
Ada was aware of his internal emotional conflicts so she had suggested seeing their parish priest for spiritual guidance. As at the time, David had thought her suggestion was intriguing especially because she knew he was not a religious man. Infact, the last time he was inside a church was for a burial and he had felt out of place. But Ada was nagging incessantly so he had agreed to go along with the plan just to appease her. However, he never expected that the discussion would end up being with a young priest.
It was his first time meeting him but the priest readily welcomed them with open arms. He had entertained and given them a tour of his parish which was magnificent. Their broad spectrum conversations got David immersed and he was enjoying their visit when the discussion switched to sins of the flesh, the need to pray for grace and the endless love of God. That was when reality hit him in the face.
Whilst Ada enjoyed the time spent discussing about their spirituality, David had gone home with mixed feelings and the intrusive thoughts of "what would Christ do? For the first time in his adult life, neither being judged nor condemned for his choices had felt like a new kind of torture and he had sworn never to go back there. NEVER!
Forget about Christ and that priest, think of Tricia, he willed himself. David closed his eyes and battled with his swirling vortex of emotions.
His body shook as he tried to give reigns to the urge thrumming in his veins. Just then the calm voice pierced through his befuddled mind; Christians are called to maintain sexual purity! Ada's priest was speaking in his head! Again!
David's eyes flew open and groaning loudly as if someone doused him with cold water, he slid off the sofa and sprawled on the marble floor. His whole body went numb as he suddenly felt a strong pull to apologise — no, to kneel down and pray!
Why was this happening to him? It was all Ada's fault!

David's eyes were still glazed when a faint creaking sound sent a chill down his spine. His blood turned cold as he scrambled up. His eyes darted first towards the staircase, then to the open kitchen door —someone was in the house!
