The Last Call IV

Adigun took a step back, his heart racing. The voice of the deity echoed in the air, dark and mocking;

"The abandoned son returns. He who accepts what has been refused."

Adigun’s eyes widened in shock. His father had another son? So the gossips were true.

The youngman took slow steady steps towards Adigun. His body seemed to be vibrating with anger and his voice cut through the air, sharp and bitter;

"We might share the same father but I am not like you, Adigun. I was abandoned, left to rot while you were given everything! And now you turn your back on the very thing that should have been ours!"

The air grew heavier, and the swirling energies around the shrine surged. The young man stepped forward again, closer to the shrine, and as he did, there was a crackling of dark energy surrounding him. His expression was fierce, filled with an almost palpable desire for vengeance.

"I, Akintunde accept to serve you. I will make them regret abandoning us. I will make them all pay."

Adigun’s chest tightened, his heart pounded as he stared at the darkness in his brother’s eyes—eyes burning darkly, flashing with power. The wind picked up again, swirling around him as energy radiated off of him, a stark contrast to Adigun’s calm refusal.

The shrine trembled and the ground cracked under the weight of the power rising inside Akintunde. His hardened face glowed as he embraced the power swirling around him. The shrine glowed with eerie light as the power around Akintunde intensified.

As Adigun watched the darkness consume his brother and his figure blended with the dark shadows, he felt an overpowering duty to stop his brother and put and end to the curse. Without another thought, he rushed towards the swirling darkness and his brother.
