[Previously E.9]

"See who left the comfort of his mansion today."

The blank expression on her face shifted and was replaced by undisguised disgust. Dapo fumed inwardly but grinned at her instead;

"Sweetie that is not how to gree..."

His words trailed off when the drivers door bursted open at that moment and a man tumbled out of Sade's car. Dapo's keen eyes raked over the man as his bodyguards moved closer to protect him.

 Man? This was no man! All he could see infront of him was a rascal. Someone not even fit to mow his lawn. His insides  cringed as his anger took a new form with the realization that Sade had been ignoring him because of the bum. 

He watched as the low life rushed over to Sade's side and took her hands in his;

"Please don't do this. I swear I will fix it. I just need a little time that's all. I beg you in the name of God."

Sade glared at caveman confused as to what he was talking about. She had totally forgotten about him in her haste to brief Brendan, her secretary, on the situation of things so she could get back on track with her schedule. 

She was about pulling away from the man who was clutching onto her hand as if it was a life support when Dapo's loud voice startled her and caveman dropped her hand at that moment.

“How dare you Sade?”

Kene turned towards the sound of the vaguely familiar  voice and its owner, a man he had noticed when he was fumbling with the car door but was too focused on breaking out and stopping the ice queen to spare him a thought. The voice suddenly rang a bell; it was the same guy who had called ice queen earlier. The man reeked of affluence. 

From his crispy perfectly tailored designers suit which Kene guessed would cost more than his annual rent to his glistening shoes, which were too sophisticated to be locally made. Forcefully dragging his eyes off the shoes he looked further upward to meet fierce eyes set in a face he could only describe as beautiful but dangerous. He would not want to cross this man's path and judging by the way he had come searching for Ice queen himself, it was obvious they had something going on between them.

"I can’t believe this! So you totally ignored all my calls, ALL DAY, because of this - this vagabond!" 

Dapo grated out while pointing a finger at Kene as if doing that would infect him with a strange ailment.

Kene's eyes widened. Did he just call me a vagabond? A fresh wave of rage rose to a dangerous height within him as he impulsively took a step forward, hands fisted by his sides, ready to give the cute guy a black eye.  Just then the Ice Queen’s calm voice stopped him on his tracks;

“That should tell you that maybe I prefer this GENTLEMAN'S company to yours. Besides, whoever I decide to be with should not be your problem.”

Kene turned to stare at the Ice..., No, Sade according to the angry mummy’s boy who was surrounded by bodyguards. BODYGUARDS! 

How come I didn't notice the mean looking thugs before thinking of hitting the man? 

Kene asked himself while taking small steps backwards. He stared at Sade with new respect, the woman sure has some spunk...
