Joke of the day

Barely six months after the rib-tickler by our beloved minister of Labour and Employment, another witty statement attributed to another minister has left us all reeling with laughter.

This time around, our Honourable Health Minister has joined the bandwagon.

Quick questions sir:

what happened to the excess doctors your colleague claimed the country had in April this year?

Do you mean we should import same doctors we bade au revoir barely six months ago?

Without conceeding to your suggestion, please tell us how we plan to convince same doctors to come back to the rot, not forgetting the paltry allowances they left behind in their search for greener pastures when payment of ordinary minimum wage turned into a saga that sapped all our energies?

I must confess that it keeps getting more hilarious in this country. We can now appreciate why most of our comedians have decided to take the back seat.

But we will not relent. As we continue to advocate and pray for the REAL CHANGE, let us all hope that one day our leaders will become more committed to the Nigerian dream and develop futuristic visions aimed at revitalising our near comatose economy.

If you have forgotten the statement credited to our beloved Labour and Employment Minister about Nigeria having surplus doctors, the outrage that ensued (read here). For his subsequent recant, please (read here).

God bless Nigeria...
