Merry Christmas!! Spray that Money
At last, Christmas is here!!!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS Lovelies!!!
Question of the day: What gifts are you bearing this season? Did you just exclaim; Gifts again this year? 😂😂 Yes o! In fact I am going biblical today so grab your Bible.
According to the gospel of Mathew, precisely Mathew 2:11(read here). The three wise men also known as the Magi, visited baby Jesus after his birth in a manger, bearing gifts of Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh. In other words, Christmas is a time for giving and sharing.
So I ask You, Yes YOU:
- Did you give freely or was it all about receiving and collecting as always?
- Did you hesitate to share a meal with that broke neighbor of yours, hungry and poor family down the road, destitute or persons you are better than?
- Did you forget to appreciate your family or better half for being loyal, disciplined and caring (especially in this era of people jumping off bridges, stealing underwear, perfecting the role of big gods, cougars, toy boys, pole hugging girls and sugar mummies)?
- Did you even say a simple "thank you" to that person for a kind gesture or did you nag and lose your patience as usual while messing up a day that is supposed to be a celebration?
- Did you try to be nice even if it would not be appreciated?
It didn't cross your mind? Okay, I understand. In fact, there's nothing to worry about. The good news is that tomorrow is another great opportunity for you to show love to that special or very annoying person and lets not forget the less privileged.
This Christmas, you must banish that spirit of super glue hands or stinginess from your side. Abeg, don't even think of saying you can't afford anything or that she/he is too old for gifts 😏😕. A gift must not be something expensive or like the Assurance package.
Depending on the recipient, it could be a smile, hug, kiss, that much needed massage, an invitation for lunch, ticket to the movies without the kids, forgoing that last piece of meat in the dish for that person, doing their laundry, not nagging throughout the holiday, giving out your old items, adding an extra portion to your cooking so that your gate man, driver or that cleaning lady could join in the celebration or a nice date at an affordable restaurant. You must not be wealthy to be generous.
Break that shackle of stinginess today and be like the Wise men.
Hahahaha at super glue
