Black Out In Nigeria

I don’t know about you, but sleeping without electricity almost every other night and having to device strategies for coping with the heat wave is nearly driving me up the wall.

Most of us accepted the reality that we cannot obtain redress from the courts for being denied our political, economic, social, cultural and developmental rights and decided to be  mini Local Governments. We started taking care of our power, water and security issues. We swallowed the bitter pill and were managing our localities until recently.

This current drama of scarcity of petrol has made it impossible for one to enjoy the luxury of ignoring Power Holding and running on private generator! Yes, electricity in this country have always been erratic, but this current trend of going for days without seeing a blink is totally unacceptable, wicked, expensive and reminds me of Things Fall Apart! I don't even want to discuss having to ditch our cars for public transportation and the big hole created in our meager allowances because of Tfare.

But hey, I am not complaining oh. Besides, change is still on the way and as long as the bourgeoisie can afford the expensive gasoline, who cares about the worries and pains of the proletariat.

Well, there is God ooh and I thank Him for the rains. If not for God …

  1. Nikky you spoke my mind. This change is leading us like the blind man leading other blind men. And we are supposed to be an oil producing nation? It seems to me this government is focusing on Agriculture and forgetting that mechanized farming requires fuel Abi petrol.

It is well. We have learnt our lessons

    1. Is this a negative change or a change with a negative impact? For how long are we going to live like this? We need revolutionists in Nigeria. .
