“Oga Alex. I truly
understand how you must be feeling right now, but I am thinking that maybe —
maybe this could all be a mix up. Probably a stunt. We both know it’s not even
possible that anyone in this community would want to harm Dapper.”
“Eric, I also want to believe that you're right but
then its almost midnight and Dapper is not home. She never stays out late and
she was last seen along that darned road...where the f***k is she?"
Alex knew Eric was not far from the truth but he needed answers not assumptions.
His late father was revered and had no enemies. He was loved by the
people and upon his demise, they had transferred the same love and respect to

It's just that I find it difficult to believe she was taken from here.
My men have been patrolling all day and we for don see the movement.
Nothing escapes our attention...”
"Yet none of your men noticed
the stranger who came into this community yesterday...”
Alex cut him off
while trying not to let the lid slip off the angst gnawing and growing within
him. He kept his gaze on Eric’s face, scrutinizing and watching the emotions
his fierce demeanor could not conceal as his information struck home.
“Stranger? Yesterday?" He took a
step backwards and stared at Alex for awhile, his face awash with obvious
confusion followed by denial. He shook his head rapidly and met Alex's probing
gaze...
