The quivering man managed to plead while his teeth chattered as if he was freezing.

"Is this the man?" Eric queried Boma

"Y yes. He is our guest. My husband brought him here." She was no longer crying but her voice was hoarse.

"Oga! Wetin carry you come our community? What is your business here?"

Eric's clear voice boomed as he took steps towards the strange man.

The man stopped shaking and slowly opened his eyes. After some seconds he whispered; 

"Eric?" 

Stretching his neck, the man tried to see through the veil of the dark night but the only available source of light was the dying bulb hanging over the door. It's light was too weak and could only cast eerie shadows so he could not make out the face of the muscular young man who was inches away from him.

"I know your voice?" He uttered slowly; "I might be old but I can never forget your voice. My son it's Ambrose o."

Eric paused as he tried to understand how the stranger knew his name. What game was Maurice and his wife playing? 

"Who has the torchlight? Flash am I want to see his face!"

Maurice laughed out dryly, hissed and spat on the dusty ground.
