God Was There - Testimony

I woke up today. It's a Sunday!!
I closed my eyes. Thank you God for this beautiful day.

I hurriedly got ready, went  to church to praise my King and worship with my brethren.

Service was normal. No drama. I left for my home. I was very close to my home when I noticed it. The vehicle; driver something is wrong. Before I could say another word,  we crashed.

I never saw it coming.

As I scrambled out, I lost control. I staggered and went down on my knees on the freshly mowed lawn by the roadside. Same lawn I passed everyday on my way out. I was dazed. The driver was dazed. People rushed over to us. Was it the tyre? Nobody could explain what happened.

You are almost home. You have to get home! Your leg is not broken. You have to be strong. 

Were the thoughts in my head as I got up from that lawn.

Madam, you just had an accident, you need to sit for awhile.

But I need to get home. I dusted my dress and walked off.

Aah! My leg.

The pain was sharp. I tripped, went down on my knees again and stifled a cry.

That was when I saw it. My ankle was bleeding. Blood was streaming into my shoe. My flesh was torn! I have never had such a gash on my skin in all my life.

How did that happen? I was surprised.

Madam you are bleeding! It was the same man. I smiled, scrambled up and walked off, awkwardly.

I finally got home. I let myself in. Went to my tub and poured  hot water on my bleeding ankle. That was when reality hit home. I wept uncontrollably.

The tears refused to stop. I was in shock. My family was in shock.

You could have died. You could have died. Kept on ringing in my head.

But I didn't. God was there. He was there.

I closed my eyes. Thank you God for this beautiful day.

Aaaaahh my ankle! 
The pain went straight to my soul.

I need to see my doctor before this pain kills me...
