Gifts for your Man - What does he want for Christmas?

Its the Christmas season again! As usual, my happy mode was activated on the first day of December and I have started counting down in earnest.

Christmas is my best season of the year, well apart from Valentine’s Day of course. It signifies the birth of our savior and a season for end of year parties, love feasts, weddings, long vacations and GIFTS!! The vacation is the best part and I have started making plans for a long, fun filled and peaceful vacation with my family and friends.

With all the plenty to eat and drink, I always try to keep fit so as to be able to fit into all my lovely gowns.So, on that beautiful Saturday evening, I was getting ready for my usual jog round the neighborhood with my neighbor when she suddenly moaned sadly and held my gaze.

“Wassup?”

“It’s my T”

She calls him "My T". Tolu is actually the only sugar in her tea, the only kpomo in her soup...Clearing my throat!

I no go lie, I actually enjoy listening to their love story, but strangely, I silently wished she would shelve it for a later day. I had a schedule to maintain and you can’t blame me, their story no de get “the end”. However, the look on her face melted my resolve;

“What about him?” I feigned interest.

“It’s Christmas and I have been wondering what to get for him.”

“How am I supposed to know nah. He is your sweet heart…buy him a shirt or something”

“He has shirts of all shades and please don’t mention a wrist watch because I bought him one for his birthday. Cufflinks are also off the list. We picked a shoe which I paid for last Saturday, so shoes are also off…”

I knew our evening jog was over. I was short of words and out of ideas.

“If he has everything, then may be its time for him to get you gifts. Don’t you think?”

“He bought me that hand bag you love. Babe, you know he spends on me. I just don’t know what to get him for Christmas!”

I rolled my eyes in exasperation and flopped into the nearest chair.

Truth be told, that is the dilemma of most ladies and sincerely my dilemma too. So, I have decided to solve this problem my way.

I have decided to conduct my usual research and find out from our caring Naija men their dream gifts for Christmas. I just cannot wait to hear their answers…

    My man doesn't like gifts and would rather buy me food. I love giving and receiving gifts so you can imagine. It took me a long time to adjust.
